GOAT’s programming is based on periodization for the athlete’s sport in the in-season and off-season. Additionally, with the use of technology, we are able to collect data and analyze metrics including rate of force production, peak power, ground contact time, and more.
In the off-season, the goal is building resiliency and promoting injury risk reduction for the in-season utilizing concurrent programming. The athletes begin with hypertrophy for muscle tissue preparation, transition into strength development, and finish with power movements to promote explosiveness. They do so on a continuum, training these three areas concurrently (hypertrophy, strength, power) in each cycle. This approach leverages a combination of strength and medicine ball training, plyometrics, mobility, and speed work to make youth athletes stronger, faster, and more powerful.
During the in-season, our youth athletes maintain their strength and power through higher intensities and lower volume; concentrating on total-body movements with strength, medicine ball training, and plyometrics.
Each session finishes off with sport-specific pre-habilitation and mobility, which assists our athletes in accomplishing their sports goals throughout the season.
